Why:

Why Horses? Horses, as sentient beings, offer a unique opportunity for connection and growth. They meet us on a non-judgmental level, providing immediate feedback and holding space for us to be seen and heard. By engaging with horses, we can bring our authentic selves into the arena, experiencing a profound sense of presence and acceptance.

What:

An immersive day retreat providing a safe and supportive environment to explore our stories and identities alongside horses. Through tailored experiences, participants will have the chance to reflect on their personal journey, fostering growth and transformation, with lasting and tangible results. If you show up, open and ready to elevate yourself, this retreat will not disappoint.

How:

The day will be structured with a combination of classroom discussions and group experiences in the arena. The topics, boundaries, communication, trust, and relationship will all be explored, offering insights into ourselves and our interactions with others, romantic or otherwise. Participants will engage in interactive activities with horses, allowing for profound self-discovery and learning. Time will also be allocated for group processing and sharing of experiences.

Activities:

Group discussions on the pillar topics.

Experiential activities in the arena, interacting with horses and learning from them and how they move with us.

Group integration session to reflect on the day's activities and share personal insights and growth. Also learning ways to integrate these new insights into your daily lives.

Participants are encouraged to approach the retreat with openness and receptivity, allowing the horses to facilitate meaningful shifts in perspective and self-awareness. The desired outcome is for individuals to leave with a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships, empowered to navigate life with authenticity and compassion.

What to Bring:

Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear closed-toed shoes or boots suitable for working around horses. We also encourage participants to inform us of any special dietary needs in advance.

Lunch and water will be provided during the retreat. Additionally, coffee and donuts will be available during the registration period.

This program falls under our Professional Leadership and Development area.   It will be taught by Carol Young, Certified Life Coach, Master Leadership Coach and Master Mental Health Coach along with Deck Hardee one of our Mental Health Clinicians  and two of our Equine Professionals.
