Avery Welfare, Care and Rehab Endowment Fund
At the heart of Healing Strides of VA is its herd of horses and ponies. A donation to the Avery Welfare, Care and Rehab Endowment Fund helps to ensure the best care possible for the health of the whole horse - physical, mental, and emotional. Healing Strides of VA has established relationships with several veterinarians at Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine and also partners with local teams of veterinarians. Our equine-care team at HSVA is highly trained and educated to see the details.
We get to know each horse personally so that we can spot any changes before they become big issues, and monitor and adjust each day according to what the horses need. With the guidance of our established team of veterinarians, chiropractors, body workers, trainers, and HSVA equine-care staff, we are able to treat and rehab most minor medical injuries and illnesses.
The average cost of basic care for one horse per month is more than $500, and does not include unexpected medical expenses. A one-time, monthly, or planned gift to the Avery Welfare, Care and Rehab Endowment Fund not only provides vital quality care for our equine partners and benefits all Therapeutic Riding and Horsemanship, and Mental Health, Coaching, and Learning participants.
If you are interested in making a contribution to our Avery Welfare, Care and Rehab Endowment Fund, or to discuss other opportunities to support HSVA and our service to the community, please contact our office at (540) 334-5825.
